SHANNON YOUNG

Shannon’s relationship with God and her faith in Jesus have been the foundation of her life since childhood. Raised in a Christian home, she came to understand the importance of cultivating her own walk with Christ. With a lifelong passion for writing, she embraced God’s call to use her gift to write, teach, inspire, and encourage others for His glory.

She holds a master’s degree in communication from Lasell University and is pursuing her PhD in Communication at Liberty University, as well as serving as a professor at Central Piedmont Community College. Committed to prayer and intercession, Shannon embraces her kingdom assignment as a watchman for God’s people and the nation.

Take Him at His Word Ministries was birthed out of a difficult season for Shannon with the passing of her son, Emanuel. Through this pain, God continually reminded her to stay grounded in His word and promises and to trust Him. The mission is to encourage and equip people through the scriptures as well as promote mental health. Both of which are important aspects to have in this walk of life.

She lives in North Carolina with her husband of 21 years and is the proud mother of five, bonus mom to two, and a grandmother of six.
